In the heart of a protected natural area, between vineyards and forest on the doorstep of Obernai, Cocon d'Argile welcomes you on the ground floor of our chalet. Private entrance, peaceful terrace, living area with kitchen, bathroom with XXL shower: everything is designed to make you feel at home. Up to 4 guests: a double bedroom and a double sleeping area. Organic breakfast on request. Here, you take the time to listen to the whisper of the forest. Welcome!
The cottage
The 42 m² cottage has a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm). In the main room, a second sleeping area with a double bed (140 cm) is screened off by removable curtains. The adjoining lounge, with table and sofas, is perfect for shared meals and convivial moments.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and kettle. The bathroom has an XXL shower and toilet.
Outside: a terrace with sofa and a dining area with gas barbecue, both sheltered by an awning, plus a fire corner. Two free parking spaces in front of the cottage. The cottage is entirely on one level, from the car park to every room.
Beds are made on arrival. Household linen (towels, tea towels) and crockery provided. Free wifi.
Children are welcome: 2 travel cots, a high chair, toys and books on request, an enclosed courtyard and a garden… a little wild.
Breakfast (extra charge, €11.50 per person)
Relax, breathe and enjoy a 100% organic breakfast: homemade jams, organic breads, fresh fruit and vegetable juices, butter, cheese, coffee and herbal teas made from lovingly gathered wild plants. On sunny days, it can be served outdoors. Please book it the day before if possible.
Activities
Hiking trails start right from the cottage: a 5-minute walk brings you to a magnificent view over the Alsace vineyards. Our neighbours' ponies and horses offer rides depending on the season (booking recommended).
Mont Sainte-Odile, castles, typical villages, Christmas markets, the Alsace Wine Route and its small wineries: plenty to fall in love with a land rich in history, heritage and gastronomy.

Good to know
Check-in from 5 pm to 7 pm, check-out by 11 am: we welcome you in person. We live upstairs in the chalet, discreet but available if you need anything. As the cottage is in the countryside, a car is recommended. When arriving, drive through the village of Bischoffsheim rather than the stony tracks some GPS apps suggest. No pets, non-smoking.
